McDonald's greatest fault in my eyes is that if Wales and Cornelius are the only ones making plays he needs to feature them more during the game. Both might lack the speed McDonald graves but showed great hands yesterday and were the only ones who did anything in the passing game.....what little passing game we have...lol

Chris Clark had a good game as well.

All I heard for years were people complaining how Nassib couldn't run. Yesterday they ran three zone reads on first down were Hunt kept it, it went for 11, 4 and 8 yds. When he gave it up to Smith on the inside zone there was consistent success. That play worked very well all game. I haven't seen the TE pop pass out of that since NWestern when they scored with it. That was a bread and butter play last year and they still do well with it. They just don't run it enough.

The number of formations we run has got to be confusing for everyone involved. Broyld, Clark, kobena, fundy, corny and now eskridge are an ever shifting combo of ins/outs. For how poor our ability to read coverage and make plays to the wideouts is, I can't imagine what's gained by the complexity. Nassib's reads were really simple/consistent and that translated into something.

Nassib had a knack of dumping that TE pass very well and sometimes too often as there were times others were open longer. I too would like to see the TE used more often and it would be nice to see Wales stay healthy as well. I don't think the TE is Hunts comfort zone yet and maybe he'll get it but it's my guess he's looking longer first and not as quick to the TE plus they may not be out there as often as the past.

This team still can't set up a screen pass to save their lives. Under Hackett or to this point McDonald. Need those deep threats to help open that up.
