If JB hears a "rumor" on his team that may or not be true, he is morally obligated to bring it to the attention of the university, NCAA, SPD, DA etc; But if some highly placed posters on this board, and in some instances board members of the university, hear the same information they are obsolved from said moral resposibility?

My reason for this question is in response to some of the outlying information that has come to light over the lat couple days. Many of which were followed by posts claiming "oh that rumor has been around for years".

Depends of the rumor. JB has no responsibility, moral or otherwise, to report rumors that Bernie is cruising gay bars on Warren Street. JB does have a moral obligation to report that he heard a rumor that Bernie was seen fondling a 12-year-old ball boy. Problem is, while rumors of the former have been out there for years, no one to my knowledge heard rumors of the latter except for ESPN, the P-S, the DA, the SPD and Syracuse University.
