Frankly, they should have done Moten's this year instead of Melo's. With Lawrence being the all time scoring leader in BE history, it would have been more meaningful to do his during the last BE game at the dome. But all good anyway.

That's nice. Always felt his image was unfairly tarnished by that one bad time out play in his last game. But I do think the most deserving player to be honored is John Wallace. Not only did he carry the '96 team to the championship game on his back but because he honored his commitment to attend SU during the time of the probation which really helped to save the program.

Moten was a great player for Cuse and very deserving to have his jersey up there. Why do we remember the negative plays so often? He was BE rookie of the year his freshman year and was a 3x BE first teamer! Lawrence was Walt Frazerish, smooth as silk.
