Assuming CJ and Jerami are our first and second primary scorers... who would/could eventually be our third?

I don't think our team sees the success it has in the past few years with just two reliable, CONSISTENT, scoring threats.

So who do you boys/girls think will be the next man to step up and be a presence? Reasons?

Votes will be public. I couldn't fit Rak's or Roberson's names in the choices, so specify if they get your vote. I left out Baye for obvious reasons.

Cooney should be be driving to the hoop more so defenders will back away from the three. This will also help with the stricter enforcement of the hand checking rules for him to go to the free throw line.

Does the poll option even work?

I can't vote.

Its Cooney but it also all connected. The better CJ and Jerami score the more easy shots Cooney gets. The more shots Cooney makes the easier it will be for CJ ad Jerami to score. I think Cooney will drive more as teams continue to hound him and he should. If he can hit a few pull ups and some drop off passes to the bigs to go with his hard drives he will become much harder to guard.

Change from game to game. Trevor and Tyler mostly, every once in a great while Cole...watch the potential if gbinje, he's brand new to real games at SU and he is improving slowly but surely IMO...

Agreed. Plus, Cooney needs Ennis to get things going, because the more Ennis can start to consistently drive and finish, the more he's going to be able to draw defenders and kick to Cooney, spotting up for a jumper.

Everyone needs everyone else to do their part to create better scoring chances.

Agreed Ennis and MikeG getting things into better flow and forcing defenses to guard them at the PG spot is the real key for the offense.

Last night's performance was not all the Orange not playing well. St Francis played an excellent game. They had a guy hanging all over Ennis all over the court. They had two defenders who did a great job keeping CJ from facing up to the basket and driving either right or left. My concern is other teams will look at what St Francis did both on defense and offense and use it as a template to beat the Orange.

As bad as last night's performance was, I was encourage by DC making free throws and CJ and Grant going 4-4 at the end. But overall, the free throw percentage has to improve if this team is going to have any chance at all in advancing in the NCAA tournament. Thank God it's 4 months away!

Cooney by far and it"s not even close.
I don't know. Give Mike G and Ennis time and we could have some scoring talent we weren't aware of.

My guess for scoring avgs:

1) CJ - 17
2) TC - 14
3) TE - 10
4) JG - 9
5) MG - 6
6) DC - 5
7) EE (Everyone Else) 9

Total Avg: 70 ppg.

When all is said and done and things settle in during conference play, I expect to see all of CJ, TC, JG and TE average between 10 and 14 and I wouldn't be surprised by any particular order - hell, CJ might end up 3rd

My prediction through three games...

Fair 18 ppg
Grant 15 ppg
Cooney 14 ppg
Ennis 10
G 8
Coleman 8
Other 6

79 ppg

I think we step it up :)
