Boston College claims the top spot in the preseason ILWomen/IWLCA Division I Poll. The reigning national champion earned 24 first-place votes, while No. 2 North Carolina earned two. No. 3 Syracuse and No. 4 Northwestern round out the top four, as all four teams are coming off Memorial Day Weekend appearances.
The ACC and Big Ten tied for the most teams in the Top 25 with six teams each. Other conferences with multiple teams include the Ivy League, Big East and the CAA.
