Cascade Women's Division I Media Poll: Shakeup at The Top; Louisville, Stanford Enter

Maryland moves into the top spot this week, after handing then-No. 1 North Carolina a 13-10 loss in College. The Heels fall to No. 2, as No. 3 Florida, No. 4 Syracuse and No. 5 USC round out the top five.

No. 8 Notre Dame re-enters the top ten, having opened its ACC campaign with a win over Duke in Durham, 12-11. The Blue Devils fall to No. 10.

Louisville and Stanford enter the top 20, tied at No. 20 with 25 points.

Division I Coaches Poll for February 27, 2017

The second week of the regular season features the same schools in the top five, but in a slightly different order. Maryland takes over the top spot in the poll with 19 of 20 first place votes after they beat North Carolina 13-10 over the weekend and dropped the Tar Heels into second place. Florida (#3) and Southern California (#4) flipped spots after the Gators posted a 15-10 win over the Trojans in their first ever meeting. Syracuse holds at #5, followed by Penn State (#6), Notre Dame (#7), Stony Brook (#8), Duke (#9), and Penn (#10). There are several big games to look forward to this week, including Florida at #16 Towson on March 5, Syracuse against Northwestern (#12), Louisville (#20) at Notre Dame, and Northwestern at Stony Brook.
