After a two-week break, Duke is back on top of the Inside Lacrosse Men’s Division I Media Poll.

It’s just in time for a showdown with No. 2 North Carolina Thursday night on the ACC Network. Check out the full Calendar for this week's games.

Maryland is No. 3, and that trio of teams makes up the clear elite tier of DI lacrosse. With all three undefeated, they’ve been trading first-place votes. Until Thursday’s win against Syracuse —the Orange remain No. 4 this week— Duke didn’t have the recent marquee win that North Carolina had. That changed, and a handful of voters switched to the Blue Devils as their top team as a result.

Denver, which welcomed a perfect TD Ierlan to the roster, moved back into the Top 5, followed by Virginia. All five ACC teams remain in the Top 10.

Hofstra rose five spots after returning to play, Loyola fell six spots, and UMass fell six spots.

Check out the full IL Men's DI Media Poll here.

1. Duke (9)
2. North Carolina (7)
3. Maryland (6)
4. Syracuse
5. Denver

Putting Denver ahead of UVA is really hard to justify. It's an emotional reaction to them adding TD and playing better recently. UVA just beat ND while Denver has beaten Georgetown - nothing special that's for sure.
I think Quint's ranking makes more sense.

They can semi-justify it because they had Denver rated ahead of UVa in last week's poll and both moved up.

Semi may be right but UVA was a dog playing away vs ND #6 team. Can say they were early games but Denver got smoked by UNC and Duke and UVA played former a lot tighter. Agree with laxatively that Ierlan addition was factored in moreso than their win.

Bit surprised Cuse held poll position though didnt think they'd slip far.
