Cascade Women's Division I Media Poll: No. 1 Maryland Headlines, No. 16 Elon Enters
No. 1 Maryland leads the way into week five, as the Terps are trailed by No. 2 North Carolina, No. 3 Florida, No. 4 Syracuse and No. 5 Penn State. This is the first time this season that the undefeated Nittany Lions (6-0) rank in the top five.
No. 10 Princeton makes the jump two spots into the top ten, having topped Loyola, 15-14, and Brown, 10-7, in week four.
No. 16 Elon enters the Media Poll for the first time this season. The Phoenix topped then-No. 17 Virginia Tech in overtime, 13-12, before the Hokies went on to take down then-No. 10 Duke, 11-6, over the weekend. Virginia Tech now ranks No. 14 in the Media Poll, while the Blue Devils have dropped to No. 15.
