Upstate New York has the top of the Maverik Men's DI Media Poll locked down. Syracuse repeats at No. 1 after a decisive victory against rival Johns Hopkins. The Orange have more clearly solidified their top spot, earning 11 first-place votes. On their heels is Cornell, which won an instant classic against Penn State. The Big Red have six first-place votes. Princeton is at No. 3 and is also among the undefeated, followed by North Carolina and Yale to round out the top five.

Hopkins not getting one vote for the top 20. I wonder if that has ever happened before.

Cornell starting with 5 on the road and now comes home and gets Yale who they can never wins a FO against. Crazy schedule. Short week to follow vs Penn Then back to back to back weeks of a mid week games after the weekend games. really pushing their depth this yr.

Yeah, last week. For the first time since the polls became a thing. It was mentioned during the broadcast.

Also mentioned was that Hopkins has never started 1-4. Last 1-3 start was in 2000, the final year before Petro took over.

Thanks for the info. I watched the replay with the sound off. Looks like Petro may be on his way out.

Nice. Back where they belong.

Rutty is on a four game losing streak but this next game isn't a layup. They hung with Princeton for most of that game.

They are going to look at this game as a way to turn around their entire season.

Oddly enough Hopkins did make all the way to the semi's in 2000 after that bad start, where they lost the Syracuse in one of the most exciting games i've ever seen live.

The Ivy League has 3 of the top 5. The ACC has 4 of the top 9 and 5 of the top 13.

Meanwhile, the B1G has no one in the top 5 and only 3 in the top 27. Ouch.

Yep, if the tourney was today the ACC and IVY would have at least 7 AQs. Problem for the ACC is that Duke, ND, and UVA all have two losses already, and they will all have at least three when SU gets done with them.

Step on their throat and rip their heart out. They need to know early that they are still, and always will be, Rutgers.
