https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/men-s-di-media-poll-syracuse-takes-a-big-jump/61204 With top-ranked Notre Dame idle, the No. 1 is the same for back-to-back weeks for the first time since Week 5. Still, the familiar faces right behind the Irish played some key matchups. Duke comes in at No. 2 after beating Virginia, and No. 4. Maryland moves up a spot to No. 3 after its Big Ten Sunday Night win. Penn State, Cornell, Johns Hopkins and Army (nudged down from tied for seventh to eighth) essentially all held serve in the rankings. Georgetown keeps sneaking up, as does Denver. Those two, combined with Villanova, means three Big East teams are bundled near each other from 9-13. But the biggest story of the poll might be Syracuse. The youthful Orange moved up five spots to No. 12 and earned their highest ranking of the season following a dramatic win vs. North Carolina. The Orange have Virginia and Duke on the road — two teams in the Top 5 of both the rankings and the RPI. Men’s DI Media Poll — Week 10 1. Notre Dame (19) 2. Duke 3. Maryland 4. Virginia 5. Penn State 12.
