Cascade/Maverik Media Poll: Top 3 All Win, But Rankings Shift
Notre Dame made a statement, trouncing Syracuse in the Carrier Dome. That statement put the Irish back in the No. 1 spot in the Week 8 Cascade/Maverik Media Poll. The Irish were last No. 1 in Week 4.
Notre Dame takes the top ranking, but there are still four teams earning first-place votes; all four won their games this weekend.
The voters dropped Yale from the No. 1 spot after one week as the leader, after the Bulldogs narrowly beat Penn on Saturday. It was Yale's second-straight one-goal win. Brown, in turn, dominated Princeton and went up a spot to No. 2.
Denver and Maryland stick to No. 4 and 5, and then there are many changes after that:
1 Notre Dame (7-1) 530 (12)
2 Brown (8-0) 523 (9)
3 Yale (8-0) 519 (5)
4 Denver (8-1) 499 (2)
5 Maryland (7-2) 448 (0)
6 Towson (9-1) 403 (0)
7 Albany (7-2) 384 (0)
8 Stony Brook (8-2) 319 (0)
9 Syracuse (5-3) 289 (0)
