The Ivy League continues to be well represented in the Men’s DI Media Poll with five teams making up the Top 10.

Still it’s Maryland —the lone undefeated team in the nation— that is No. 1 with no doubts. The Terps handled Michigan, and there’s a big-time Big Ten battle of top-five teams Sunday night when Maryland hosts No. 4 Rutgers.

Georgetown rises to No. 2 in the poll after beating Denver. The Hoyas are one spot above the lone team to beat them — two-loss Princeton.

Rutgers follows, then Yale is into the Top 5. The Bulldogs rose three spots after beating Penn. Cornell edged out Dartmouth and is at No. 6 then the Cavaliers are down to their lowest spot of the season after their loss at Richmond.

Entering the poll for the first time is UMass, which has been on a hot streak with five-straight wins. Richmond made the most noise, going from unranked to No. 17 after its takedown of Virginia.

A cluster of ACC teams is in the back half of the Top 20 with Notre Dame (tied with Boston U at 13), followed by Duke and North Carolina.

Check out the full Top 20 here.

1. Maryland (23)
2. Georgetown
3. Princeton
4. Rutgers
5. Yale

NR shouldn't surprise anyone. Scores matter .Gonna need to win four out of last five to be considered for tourney. ND is a top ten team imo

I think three of five would put Syracuse in the conversation, but probably not on the right side of the cut. But I think your name would at least be on the board during the fancy AD discussion and/or drawing names out of the hat night.

Interesting to see UVA dropped significantly in polls. Probably too big a drop but if LaSalla seriously injured, could be justified.

Also interesting to see Georgetown not missing a beat with a frosh goalie against two legit teams (Denver, Lehigh) the last 2 weeks. McElroy is very good but he definitely has the luxury of an elite D in front of him.
Bobby Gavin and Harrison Thompson would like to know how that feels - they got a brief taste against Duke.

Just checked the current goalie stats for Cuse - Thompson at 40% and Gavin at 45%. There is no doubt in my mind that these guys have played better than the stats would suggest. Gavin has benefitted from a couple of solid team games against Duke and SB relative to Thompson. I just hope these guys can keep their heads up and not lose their confidence.

If you go by results, I think the teams above Virginia have better wins and haven't lost to a team like Richmond.

cornells lack of depth/injuries and struggles at the X are really showing.. midgame vs Dart they were like 1 for 11 on faceoffs and still leading because they were causing turnovers.. The Dart goalie was saving around 75% for much of the game.. game after game of faceoff issues is wearing down the D.
