We know which team is No. 1 in the KANE Men’s DI Media Poll.
That’s clearly the Maryland Terrapins, who are undefeated, handled Virginia on Saturday and own the No. 2 RPI.
But who’s No. 2? And for that matter? Who is Nos. 2 through 10?
Right now it’s Penn State. The Nittany Lions, who played midweek vs. Robert Morris but not over the weekend, rose up to the 2-spot. They are just a single vote ahead of Army, which is 7-0 but does not have the signature wins of the teams around them.
Cornell comes in at No. 4 after handling Princeton, and North Carolina sticks at fifth. Princeton falls out of the Top 5 but is still ahead of Notre Dame, Duke, Ohio State and Syracuse.
Elsewhere in the poll, UMass is rising and up to No. 17, and Saint Joseph’s (19) and Dartmouth (20) appear. Virginia and Denver are out of the Top 20.
