Polls for Sept 21: AP (NR) / Coaches 37

I wish you were correct... but I don't think you are. We aren't SEC or Big Ten or in the South or Notre Dame... thus we don't get slobbed on by the media.
If our first game of the season was a 2 TD win at Clemson we absolutely would've had a ton of buzz.

If we had beaten Tennessee we'd probably be top 20 easily right now.

sorry ain't gonna move up beating a 1-3 squad.

Sagarin Rankings
We are up to 34th! Which is 6th in the ACC, 2nd in the Northeast (don't think we can get to #1 so 2nd is not bad), and #1 in NY State. Our SOS thus far is 28th. We are down to playing four Top 25 teams, seven Top 41, and nine Top 60.

The California schools are dragging the ACC down. The ACC has five teams ahead of the B12 #2.

The SEC has 5 of the Top 10, 12 of the Top 21, 14 of the Top 27, and all 16 teams in the Top 50.

Meanwhile the B1G has 7 teams outside the Top 50, and 3 outside of the Top 80.

The PAC has the lowest ranked conference leader.

I would like to play Northeastern G6s OOC. Delaware, Buffalo, Temple, UMass are all outside of the Top 100. Navy, Army, UConn are all outside the Top 70.

Rankings like this prove they are meaningless, how can a team who was never in the game on their home field be ranked 24, and the team that beat them be 34.
That shows how stupid his system is.

Illinois beat Duke. If we cannot beat Duke, we do not deserve to be ranked. TCU and Baylor beat SMU. If we cannot beat SMU, we do not deserve to be ranked. Just keep winning and the rankings will take care of themselves...
Agreed on keep winning and the rankings will take care of themselves...but Illinois beat Duke with their starting QB in the line-up. Angeli's absence is critical, hoping Rickie can step up.

They did out gain us by 75 yards. That doesn’t help.

Cuse loses a somewhat competitive game to Tennessee and beats Clemson handily in Death Valley and gets no votes.

Illinois loses by 53! to Indiana! And has nothing else on the resume, and is still ranked. W T ?

If we played in order with the same results, Clemson, Yukon, Colgate, Tennessee, we would be ranked about 15 and Tennessee would be about 10.
Im more confused how in the hell GT moved up? Its just like last year, they beat a fraud and then they're going to get smacked by the first real team they play and fade into oblivion. You'd think the pollsters would've learned.

I’m not really pissed that we aren’t ranked. I’m not sure we deserve to be. I just know Illinois definitely does not deserve to be. Looking at their resume. It might be the worst four game resume for a team ever for a ranked team.
