Please read, I need us all to be realistic, and positive.

Look, I am just as disappointed as the next guy about last night. We have so many expectations going to this season, that something like last night was the last thing we could of ever imagined.

But, lets be realistic. FCS teams, not often, but sometimes, stick around and mess with big time opponents. (See: Appalachian State, Georgia Southern vs UF/NCSU, etc) It happens. Lets face it.

However, lets keep in mind that we lost our LEADER, STARTING QB, in the 2nd quarter of the game. Before that, we had scored 10 points with our QB. In fact, we were somewhat driving when that idiotic punch was thrown.

The more I rewatch the video, the Villanova defender had somewhat of a late hit on THunt, that was right around the head area. Its hard for just a fan to relate, but imagine a 200+ pound guy falling right on your head, blind sided. Terrel was heated, and had a lot of anxiety being that last night was the first game.

My point is, there was an entire half + (2 quarters and a half) of football that we didn't have our starting QB. Don't get down on this team. It was a freak thing that happened. We are basing the results of last night based on a game we didn't have our starting QB leader for MORE than half of the game.

Now, I'm just venting, but lets stay positive. We didn't see our real product of football last night. I would be alarmed if that was the result with Terrel in the whole game.

Lets fix things up this bye week, STAY POSITIVE, go into CMU and tear them up. Lets pack the dome for the Terps and get to 3-0 like we were all wishing.

Go Orange.

While I am at it, here are a few things :

- First and foremost, no Stupid penalties. YES I know we had the penalty on Hunt, but there was no false starts, offsides, late hits (minus Hunt), etc. Good sign.
-Thought J West looked like a leader of the receiving corp. Always looking to get extra yards. I'm excited for him.
-Erv Phillips looks to be a good Kick returner.
-Ronnie Thompson was all over the field (in fact he was a tight end on that fake FG play by riley--wide open in the back)
- Would of liked to see more Custis
-I would like to see some tricky, such as reverses, end arounds to Brisly etc.

1-0 for the fourth time in the last 14 seasons.

I'm very disappointed in how our lines played among many other things, but if I keep saying my first sentence it makes me feel better.

I wonder what the play calling around the endzone would have looked like had we not been in a situation that any mistake would kill us. i think we probably try and least a couple play action pass type plays if hunt is still in the game and probably a QB draw.

I think the Wilson to Moore spread option look was the most disappointing play call of the night. I get that you practiced it so much but it's a play call with zero good options.

Overall though I feel better today than last night. We are 1-0 and we can recover. I think we'll show we're better than that. Still concerned about talent and depth on both lines. We'll have to win a lot of close games this year so in a weird way maybe it helps to already start experiencing it.

Lester said they had red zone packages for Hunt that would have worked against their 3-3 stack.

I think its more scary that we only have 1 qb that we can run those types of plays.
