Any rumors or thoughts on possible position changes? John Kinder seems like the odd man out in the QB discussion, any rumors that he may get a look at WR? Max B back to DE? I imagine Cam Lynch is going to get some reps at MLB in the spring. Can Coker put on enough weight to play some as a speed rushing DE? Mungwa to LB? Depth is cool but ideally you want your best athletes on the field on Saturdays.

Cam Lynch.. there have been a ton of talk of him to MLB over the last few years.. I feel that he'd be solid at MLB, but with a healthy Spruill, I feel like this guy would reak havoc on the outside for opposing QBs.. He's quick and when put in that position last year seemed to make some real noise.

Vaughn is a senior and Lynch is the only other SLB. I do agree though that the next middle linebacker needs to come in the next class so they can have a year to redshirt. It doesn't look like there are any MLB being looked at. I though Myles Davis would get a shot but since he moved to offense thats out.

Coker would be on the field, but the kid can't grasp the playbook from what I've heard. He's also 200 lbs, no way he would be a speed rusher.

I think based on what he did in HS, if Kinder moves anywhere (very possible) it'd be FS.

For the spring most of the guys you mentioned are staying where they are currently. Kinder will push Loeb for the backup spot, Lynch is line to be a starter, Beauleau may wind up backing up Stevens or Wales, Coker is an LB due to weight and Mungwa is being groomed as Shamarko's replacement (possibly this year if he is hurt again).

Don't be surprised if one of the combo of Goggins/Bromley gets some burn on the outside as a strong side end. Addazio may get some run as a fullback/h-back hybrid. Some of the corner/safety guys may be moved back and forth (Eskeridge, Wilkes, Reddish, George, Desir)

Sure hope we see several creative moves & experimenting in the Spring -- not just plugging the obvious holes in the same basic scheme.
We have openings at right guard & right tackle -- but let's hope to see some competition and additional moves all along the OL. Last year, the OL was set in stone early -- looking for more competition this time.
We have talent in the ranks at QB (Kinder, Hunt, Broyld) -- be creative and get some of these guys into different schemes or roles.
Bunches of candidates at RB, FB and WR (contrast to last year when Provo, Bailey, Harris, Chew-Lemon-Sales were all clear leaders).
Sure, we have to get the DBs into the best roles, with several candidates; and try some candidates (any one of the 3 DTs) at strong side DE. Shafer has always been good with rotating DE/DTs (Torrey Ball for example) and trying DBs in roles (Wilkes for example).
But we haven't seen a lot of that on offense. Very static and predictable, even in the Spring. Hope that changes.
