JB seemed...very subdued. It seemed like he was in higher spirits after the Louisville loss. You would think after the thrashing tonight he'd be in a better mood.

The extreme pessimist in me says something it making him nervous about the story that came out yesterday.

The optimist in me says he's just really focused and wants to make a FF run badly this year.

ehh it was late and not a whole lot to say after that anihilation..

a person I know close to the program told me that neither jb or Gross seem to be that concerned about the NCAA story. FWIW

i think jb likes this team. even when we were struggling down the stretch he never panicked. just said that we're struggling, we need to make shots, we have good players, our defense has been good all year, etc. i think it was 2 years ago when he said stuff like we're not that good, we've been overrated all year. he saw the writing on the wall with that team. i think he thinks we can be a f4 team this year.

Could it be that he knows this is his last tourney so he's just trying to enjoy it?

JB has never been one to revel in beating essentially D2 competition.

I certainly hope so, but that's not the chatter around town from those I know who are connected with the university.

I didn't see the presser, but I'm taking the "he was tired" angle. We had the last game and the one before ours ran late. He probably just wanted to get back to the hotel and sleep.

Not much to say after a game like that.

Exactly. Pretty meaningless game. Montana was way overmatched. If we clicked on all cylinders for the 1st 30 mins, we would have won by 60. I wonder if JB said anything about that stretch of poor play starting from the 12 min mark in the 1st half?

Best part of last night was getting rest for our starters.

Well, the game was over at 9:40 p.m. ish local time, so I doubt he was that tired. His demeanor probably had more to do with JB generally practicing what he preaches...not too high after a win, not too low after a loss...and, of course, looking at the big picture...just one game...5 more to go! :)

well, 1s going to retire and the other will be fired for different reasons...so yeah, both probably arent too concerned about the ncaa story...

Oh Lord

eh, think of the adrenaline *we* have after these games and then imagine what it is to be involved. he's not tired. there's just so much you can say after a game like that, though. there's no upside in being anything but vanilla.

Maybe. You might consider a visit to the doctor if you still felt an adrenaline rush at the end of that game. :)

sheesh Kaiser, I hope that's not the case but you do present a valid explanation for the aformentioned comment.

That was just the presser. Actually, JB stormed the court after the game but, of course, no one was left to notice;) .-VBOF
