Baylor just played UB and played them in a home and home. I don't see any indication they are scheduling 2 for 1s or 3 for 1s with anyone these days. Looks like they are going with a strategy of scheduling one away game buy with a P5 opponent a year these days. It was Penn State in 2015. It will be BC in 2016, and Minnesota in 2017. Kansas State announced in Febuary of 2015 that they are paying UB $900K to get them to play there in 2020. Our staff missed all these opportunities, asleep at the switch again. It looks like UB has their P5 buy out game slot open for 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022 and beyond. IMHO, scheduling a buy out game with them is a no brainer. UB might bring a few fans to a game scheduled at the Dome and they are good enough to make the game meaningful and helpful for preparing for the conference schedule. We have to find a way to consistently play 7 home games a season and buy outs are a great option towards that end. The damage caused by the consistent awful OOC scheduling by the SU athletic department in recent years is huge. It has IMHO surely prevented us from going to a couple of bowl games. I hope Coyle addresses it soon. Linkage
