Thats a bummer. Kind of takes away the prestige of the event. Obviously it doesn’t have prestige for schools like us, but playing at MSG in the postseason is a huge deal for probably at least half the teams in the country.

Oops, I read this as “preseason NIT”. That would be a bummer. Postseason NIT….doesn’t matter to me.

I don’t care where it is, I don’t want to be in it, just hoping last year was an outlier, we couldn't even make the NIT

Now they can have NCAA rounds at the Garden. Orange in a regional final the Garden would be fantastic.

Seems like that was one of the big incentives for playing in it, if you didn’t make the big dance. For the kids and coaches that is, the schools incentive of course is a few more $$.

The Garden has had regional finals in 2014, 2017, and would have in 2020 and are scheduled to do so in 2023. The thing that has kept cuse out of a regional final at MSG are bad basketball and late nights at Golden Corral.
