I always cringe when I see these crazy post-game celebrations where players jump on each other, dive into a huge pile etc. Our former next-door neighbor's son was playing football and scored the winning touchdown. His teammates lept on him in the end zone from behind and kids just kept jumping on the pile. He was screaming. His leg was broken in 2 places and he missed an entire year as a starter on varsity basketball. He never played nor wanted to play football again and said that he was always hyper vigilant in close basketball games after that. Surprised it doesn't happen more often.
