UNC and UK play Dec. 3
UK plays UL Dec. 31
OSU plays UF Nov. 15, Duke Nov. 29
UConn has zero tough OOC games

I think UNC, UK, OSU will roll thru their conference schedules. I see SU hovering around 4-5 most of the season

Naw...we always have a mid-season slump & at some point will drop out of the top 10.

We always re-group after that slum & hopefully we end up in the Top Ten or even the Top 5 when all is said & done.

we will reach #2 for sure...and maybe get to #1...season end we are #1 as NC

You just never know with the B10, there's going to be a game where Wisky holds OSU, and OSU could lose, UK has tough OOC, UNC might not lose until a game with Duke, we could jump UConn once they start slow, and don't win impressively.

Take a look at UConn's OOC schedule. It looks like a midwestern D2 conference

I gotta say 2nd or 3rd ... if we get by Florida and win on the road at NCS ... I gotta believe that we can go undefeated until Pitt. UNC or UK gonna drop right out especially if UL takes care of business(I would love to see that!!). OSU will lose to either Duke (hope not) or Florida (hope so) ... I hope not b/c if Duke beats OSU the rankers tend to jump them over everybody ... besides if OSU takes out Duke that gets them off or a$$. UConn playing a subzero schedule doesn't help them especially if we win the Pre-season NIT, and beat Florida and NCS ... we should be able to leapfrog UConn based on strength of schedule. If we go to 2nd or 3rd it will have to be early in the season before conference play (like last year).

Cuse will rise to number One, because they will embrace the zone creating massive turnovers fueling offensive outburst after offensive outburst. Their hunger to win will in part be energized by the lofty expecations of the fan base and pessimism of the major media outlets leading to feverish ptch not seen sonce the 1980's. Crushing their opponents along the way to an RPI ranking on One, an AP and ESPN ranking of One. With Melo becoming the linchpin of the zone, the ever improving defensive dynamo, not seen Rony Seiklay, marking a return to an era once forgot. Manny's will then begin selling throwback era sports shorts that will catch on nationwide well into March Madness. Youth everywhere will be seen wearing these boxer like briefs with the SU insignia.

With the exception of 2 seasons ago when SU romped top 15 Cal and UNC, leapfrogging is hard to do, especially a top 5 team. Many voters follow the unwritten rule of no loss, no drop, unless some team looks way underrated and whoops a ranked team. IMO it will be hard to jump Conn unless they lose

no higher than where they are now at #5 - no team chemistry or go to guy.

This is the #5 team? A whopping 29 pts v. CSLA? They look lost on offense.

I certainly smell a What loss in the non-conference.
