This talking point hasn't mentioned by anyone in the media yet. That Syracuse could potentially go the first 4 rounds of the NCAA Tournament in the State of NY before the Final Four. While this year we would have earned it if we get sent to Buffalo/New York City if our season earns a 1 seed. I just know someone in the media will say it to be a DBag and troll our fanbase. My guess is Seth Davis January 25th during the halftime of SU-Miami on CBS.

I am prideful of Syracuse's alumni packing MSG, TD BAnk Garden and Verizon Center. I don't really see the need to gripe against the media when Cuse is consistently in the top 3 of rankings year in year out. It's amazing how much success allows you to dismiss the haters.

Pretty great that we can stay in-state though. In years past, the East coast #1 seed was near impossible to obtain, with much of the Big East and ACC seeking the spot. With the realignment and the subsequent demotion of Nova, Gtown, UConn etc to mid-majors, I think we could be only fighting Duke and Pitt for the east for awhile.

As long as the East venue stays in NYC, Boston, DC, Brooklyn and not in Atlanta or the Dome (ironically), we should be set up for years to come.

Bring it on. I love it when the media get all their panties in a bunch over this. I hope that both arenas are 85% full of Syracuse fans if we end up playing there. We should all get foam middle fingers that read

YEP ITS A HOME GAME...SUCK IT

After Villanova got to play in the sub-regionals at Wachovia Center in 2009, no one should ever criticize our placement in Buffalo or NYC or Albany. Nova very cleverly played only FOUR home games at the Wachovia Center that year -- one short of the five that disqualifies a team from a potential site.

If they whined about our placement in 2003 [Albany / Boston], they'll really get their panties in a bunch over Buffalo / MSG.

Agree. But the reason some media complained about 2003 was that SU was a #3 seed given a "home court" situation which some felt was unfair to the #1 seed. If SU gets a #1 seed this year there is no gripe. The NCAA has given plenty of #1 seeds near home court situations. It will be interesting if we get placed in MSG as a #2 seed if we slip off the #1 line.

I can't wait for the day when Syracuse has a 90,000 seat retractable Dome/hockey arena with 15,000 new hotel rooms along Marshall Street, and then the NCAA will have no choice but to schedule all rounds of the tournament in Central New York.

Doesn't the top team in the acc get to stay in north carolina for the first four rounds? Oh wait, this time its NY, so now there will be something to complain about.

I think we are making up narratives to get our emotions going.

We've turned into ESPN.

I don't see why it matters. How often do we see UNC and Duke play in Greensoboro in the tournament. Seems every year one of the regions include NC, they are the first two thrown in that bracket lol
