I thought it would be interesting to track the prediction thread through the season to see how the average of the predictions stack up against the reality of the game. I think it will also help to show expectation vs. reality.
For instance, there's sure to be many people who might vent about something that happened in the game tonight, but if the spread based on the prediction thread is less than what the actual final score is, it might show that the team is either exceeding, or not living up to expectations.
Tonight there were 18 people who gave predictions in the prediction thread. The final of the game tonight was:
SU - 89
KS - 42
One person out of 18 thought SU would score more than 89 in this game. They thought SU would score 91.
No one thought SU would hold Kennesaw State to just 42 points. Two people thought we'd hold them to 44.
The average based on all predictions was:
SU - 83
KS - 55.5
So relative to the prediction thread, SU exceeded expectations in this game.
