The Orange finished strong in 2015 with a (16-8) overall record and a (3-4) conference record. They won the program’s first-ever ACC championship in Charlottesville, Virginia, last spring by defeating Boston College (14-13) in the first round, Duke (14-10) in the semifinals, and UNC in the finals (9-8 OT). After earning a bid to NCAAs, the Orange defeated Penn and Loyola en route to the Final Four; but fell to No. 1 Maryland (8-10) in the semifinals. With many returning starters and a couple new faces, this No. 3 team will certainly be one to beat, as they embark on their journey of winning the program’s first national championship in 2016.
