Press conference is on OAA. He had about as much emotion as he does during the games.

Marrone said in the press conference that they expected all out pressure up the middle and that is why they called the play for Smith to run around the end at the goal line.

He said the kids need to ignore what people (i.e. fans) are saying outside the program.

What exactly was the point of calling that timeout? Such a douchey move.

I think he blacked out from the ass beating we got. He woke up and thought we had the ball.

Watching it now. I'll give him credit in that he's not wavering. He's still confident in this team.

The talent isn't awful, but the holes in the o-line, d-line and the worst playcalling of the season really killed the team tonight. Plus, going under center for the first time all season on that Smith pitch is all you need to know. 200 plays into the season...might as well switch it up 6" from the goal line.

Well is was nice talking with y'all. But it looks like the sky is falling on this board.. Hope we all make it through the night.. If I make it ill check back in... Till then I'm going to go hide underneath a blanket...

Ugh. Listened to it now. The 4 TOs played a part in the loss but there was so much else that went wrong. Fix any of those and we still win despite the TOs. Talking about luck makes me think he just does not get it. How can you improve if you don't think you did anything wrong? Play calling, organization, discipline were all big factors. He talked about correcting mistakes but those 3 coaching errors have happened for 4 years now and has nothing to do with the kids. Time to look in the mirror Marrone.

Marrone completely deflated as all of us are. Im glad he admitted that he questioned why our team has such terrible luck and what we did to deserve it. Couldn't agree more on some of the stuff that happens. Im amazed noone got seriously injured on top of everything else that went down tonite.

Luck? They missed FGs isn't that good luck? We had a 1st and goal from the ONE yard line yet threw an INT on a 3rd and goal from the 4. That wasn't bad luck as that play should have never happened. Losers blame luck.

Wow, he expected that? Maybe we should just retreat and run backwards for a bit, that would avoid all out pressure up the middle too.

If only Nunes had one more year of eligibility. He was the master of the backward miracle scramble.

Luck? The undisciplined penalties are killing this program. They have to stop

While the turnovers cost us points most likely, we were fortunate not one of them led to Minny points.

Zero fire and zero emotion, everytime the camera pans to Kill hes fired up yelling at officials getting in players face etc, Marrone is just standing there like Barney Fife looking completely lost and dismayed, what a nightmare.

Didn't Rahme say that Marrone acts this was purposefully because he's very emotional and doesn't want to lose his cool on the sidelines? I thought he said that during his chat here.

Anyway, it's a minor thing but probably emblematic of the larger point that Marrone is an overthinker. His learning on the job continues to hurt us I think.

What you say is probably true but maybe losing his cool for once would fire up the team or at least the fanbase. Nothing more infuriating then watching this team go up in flames while Marrone stares blankly ahead like hes watching a fireworks show.

He supposedly did say that. I find that ridiculous thinking. Not saying rah rah wins games, but it may help win one every once in awhile. His demeanor on the sideline is flat out Weird.

I think it just comes down to DM's NFL experience. He treats them like adults doing a job. But this is college, and that's not always the best way to go. People don't like being reprimanded. But if you do something wrong, sometimes you expect to be.

I got a Kick (No pun intended) of Wheatly showing a Player how to cradle his hands to field a punt (something learned in Pop Warner) a sad state of affairs.
