Melo has never played with anyone with the basketball ability or IQ of KG or Ray Allen let alone at the same time? I think not. FACT is PP would never have won a title if it wasn't for KG or Allen. The more concerning thing is if PP was so great, such a great leader, so clutch, double double every night WHY do the Celtics only have one title? Shouldn't they have more?

I agree with the first part - certainly the C's teams of recent years are far better than any of Melo's teams to date (no one has even mentioned Rondo yet). With that said Melo's teams are far better than any of Pierce's pre KG\Allen\Rondo teams.

As far as the 2nd point goes no...the fact that they haven't one another one, to me, doesn't take away from Pierce's achievements. They are old. They've been old. They have key injuries every year (which happens when you are old). They've lost to great teams in extremely tough 7 game series almost every year. No one ever said that Pierce is like a MJ who can win it all by himself, particularly in his 30's.

They were robbed of a title a couple years ago by the Lakers. A few more than questionable calls led to a Lakers win.

Also...Kevin Garnett and Ray Allan don't have a ring if Pierce wasn't on there team either.

Pierce has a ring, Melo doesn't. Melo has a title contender this year in the Knicks, lets see what he does.

Also...Pierce got stabbed 9 times recovered, put up star numbers for another decade nearly... I don't know if Carmelo could do that.

Pierce carries the ENTIRE weight of the Boston Celtics fans on his shoulders. Though Garnett may appear to be the leader...when the games close and the celtics need someone to rely on. The fans put there hopes and cries on Paul's back. He's the only player, besides Kobe and Lebron in MY OPINION that can handle that pressure and stick with that team.
