Props to Drew Allen

At first we were upset with him. He sprinted off the field well ahead of the rest of the team who stayed to cheer the fans. Then we put ourselves in his shoes and figured no big deal. Glad to see that you saw those nice in-game moments

We were having dinner and a few drinks at a campus hangout after the game and our waitress said she had just waited the table of the Syracuse quarterback's family.

She added that they were really unhappy.
We were curious. Unhappy?

She then mentioned they were from Texas.

Hmmm.

He was the first guy in the locker room. Probably not easy for the kid, but life never is.

They sat in front of us at the GT game... The kid had his shot and didn't take advantage. HUNT isn't a world beater but he's the starter, like I said we can debate which one stinks less but I think hunts ability to run the ball is what makes him the better option

Probably think he should have played a little in mop up.

I wish him the best. This must really suck for him. I hope he learns what he can from the situation and moves on.

Kind of simplifying things to just say, "he had his shot and didn't take advantage". These guys work harder than most of us and the program as a whole came off a fresh start this year. Different receivers, blockers, coaches, or string of luck might have produced different momentum to start with. It didn't, but not for a lack of trying on anyone's part.

If both of them aren't more capable quarterbacks than anyone around, blame the coaches. Few here that keep bashing them could make the team as a walk on. Both have stellar pasts and likely very bright futures in whatever they move on to. Hunt can only be better next year. Tell him what to work on and he will, not how bad he stinks. A little confidence can go a long way.
