There is a big at Notre Dame who is 6-5 and starts for them this year that played on Long Island...that we missed on. I am just restating the obvious now! Something has to change...and it isn't the coaching. In the last 3 recruiting cycles, we have been successful in getting 3 players inside of the top 100, with the young lady coming next year that was rated #48 and the highest rated prospect in the Coach Jack era. Perhaps, we can figure out a way to be successful with players outside of the top 100, if we are not going to have the funds to commit to the top players in the country.
In the ACC, we are going up against Notre Dame, Stanford, North Carolina, Duke, and NC State, all recruiters of elite talent. Throw in Virginia, which just got a multi year, multi million dollar commitment from a billionaire Alum(Serena William's husband), and look at their recruiting uptick recently(We lost out in a head to head with them in this upcoming class for a very promising guard). We are entering some rough seas in a boat without a lot life rafts!...
