Syracuse, N.Y. — Usually, by this time of year, Jim Boeheim has a fairly good idea about the lineups and combinations he'll use for the upcoming basketball season.

"I usually don't have many questions. I pretty much know what's going to happen," the Syracuse basketball coach said. "This year is different."

The addition of two graduate transfers, one deciding just last week to play for the Orange, has changed the complexion of Syracuse's 2016-17 team and added intrigue for fans and coaches alike...

Just read this article.

The thing to get most excited about is how many options we have. If guys are having off nights, we have guys who can step up and fill in. If we play big teams, we can match their size. We have depth, numerous shooters, athleticism, position versatility, and size in droves [we have one of those airport teams].

If he holds true to playing 8-9, then this season has a 2012 feel to it. And 2012 was a pretty damn fun year to be an SU fan.

Let's Go Orange!!!

boeheim is funny because he's telling the truth. sometimes i wonder if it's boring for him to know everything ahead of time. i disagree with him about plenty but the guy is a good forecaster
