PSU - Bill O'Brien

We may be in agreement that PSU was one of our most disliked programs...even before the Sandusky scandal happened but watching PSU dismantle Illinois and Temple the last couple weeks makes me think that PSU hit a homerun on that hire. He was also putting together a terrific recruiting class until they got clobbered with sanctions

If O'brian keeps this up he's going to get other coaches fired.

Not the least bit surprising. Many seem to think Penn State will take a dive duirng these sanctions. While they won't be competing for national or Big 10 titles, they'll remain competitive.

I just can't believe ESPN is giving them so much air time. Four straight weeks on ESPN...Ugh!!!

This year is the best PSU is going to be for many years to come. I'm not saying they are going to sink to our level during the GROB years, but the sanctions will catch up to them over time. I predict an Indiana victory so0metime in the next 5 years.

What exactly have they done to this point? Beat Temple and Illinois? Yawn. As MaxwellCuse said, this will be their best team in the next decade. They are going to have a rough 8 years or so and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it.

It does seem that O'Brien has made a difference with QB Matt McGloin - he seems far more polished than in the past.

I enjoyed watching them kick the p*ss out of Illinois after the Illini sent their whole coaching staff to State College to cherry pick players.

I'm torn. I'd have liked to see the team get hit with stricter sanctions, but at the same time these players did nothing, so good for them for keeping their chins up and competing. It's not their fault the authority figures were horrible human beings, after all.

I'd still like to see them lose the rest of their games. Not because of the scandal, but because I hated them long before that.
