Yep and MCW really emphasizes how JB helped him, gave him freedom and played a role in his improvement. Coming from someone who had a more limited Frosh role and can also compare to life in the NBA means a lot!

MCW had the passion and will to win, mostly displayed his sophomore year, that imo we’ve not seen replicated in a point guard since.

We got better players back then. And the game has changed quite a bit in terms of player movement.

Good friend of mine is a big Indiana fan (graduated from there...puke) and to this day still mentions that MCW team

I'm one of those people who don't believe that the sanctions coinciding with the timing of the downturn in recruit quality was purely a coincidence. I know that Hop took a couple too and we had early departures but I think we're on our way back in terms of quality coming in.
I'm not writing JB off yet.

it takes a big uptick in talent to over take horrible shooting nights.. almost every NCAA loss the last 10 yrs has been because we didnt make open shots. Some we couldnt play D/rebound
