Heading back to campus for first time in years for Saturday's game with family (little kids). Are there any pre-tip off events scheduled (or part of current custom and practice) for quad or dome (band, cheerleaders, dj in dome, etc).

Thanks!

Just bumping this thread to see if i can get any responses. (133 views but no responses make me feel like the ugly stripper that nobody wants a dance from)

There's a bunch of activities that happen inside the dome on the other side of the court for about an hour or so before the game, but to my knowledge, nothing on the quad or outside the dome.

Others may be able to give more information, but I don't think I'm missing anything.

The wearing of the Noel flat top should be entertainment enough for kids.

it's not really like football where there are organized "events" like the sheraton, the quad and all that, mostly because it is usually damn cold out. one thing you can do if you bring kids is get to the dome early, and there are some small things to do on the field level behind the bleachers, and you can also watch the players warm up from the baseline which is actually pretty fun.

They have baskets in the backcourt area for kids to shoot and win tee shirts (its a couple of bucks). If you get there early enough you can take them to the court and watch the players warm up.

The cheerleaders also warm up in the backcourt area and some people watch them.

thats perverse!

They have a photo booth with props you can have a family picture taken (get there early, the line is long). There are giveaways like lanyards and cozy's along with what others said about a number of hoops set up. This is all in the backcourt. Signups for some contests during the game etc. There are so many people and things to look at the kids should be kept busy, just make sure they keep close. Get there about an hour and a half before hand and leave the backcourt about 15 minutes before the game - getting up to the 3rd tier with the crowd may take sometime from the backcourt. Also along the 1st floor concourse they have pictures of all the football/ basketball/ lacrosse stars and they have displays of the trophies etc. I think you'll find things to do. It will be a matter of how tired little (and in my case - old) legs get.

We just got an e-mail today that there's going to be a dunk tank with the Husky in the backcourt tomorrow. That sounds like a can't-miss.

Thanks everyone for the info. Got to Dome at noon, kids were amused for an hour and then everyone loved the game! Cuse is in the House, OMG OMG!
