This is not about new media, new media can be impactful and positive and can expose us to off the cuff video clips of player interviews, discussions with friends and family of players and coaches, human interest stories that might be too long to make the print edition etc - there are things you can do to drive clicks and readership without resorting to negative instigation - and clearly syracuse.com is trying to instigate to generate clicks.  that is not news.    If cohen thinks he has a future with this, good luck getting to the NY times with that strategy - Thamel would be ashamed.
