Watching his film, Brendan is one of those QBs who doesn’t have a great OL or WRs.  He is out there running for his life all the time.  Throws well on the run.  Can extend plays with his feet really well and has that rare ability to find the open guy while in full flight.

The highlight film for most QBs features perfect blocking play after play, with the play developing as designed, the WR breaking up as expected, etc.  That is great for someone like Clemson used to be, but for a program like Syracuse, we need a QB who can save broken plays to be successful.

I think Zurbrugg is a good fit.  You can see his dad was a QB.  Lots of poise and patience.  He needs to get stronger and the jury is out of his ability to make reads and audible into the right play.  But his ability to make something out of nothing is impressive.
