Where do we stand with him?

Will he become a national type recruit like Chad Kelly?

Wasn't it not too long ago that a few folk around here were saying that this kid wasn't a big deal? And perhaps not worth out time cause he wasn't the answer? I'm not trying to sound like an a$$, honestly just curious. Those people may still be right, but I know I will be putting him high on the early version of the wish list.

Go after him. It's not like if he doesn't pan out it's the worst thing ever.

He was an honorable mention for the U.S. Army All-American Combine Team. Good enough for me.

He's an instate prospect, and if he goes to some other school and blows up, fans here will riot.

I like the fact that we are positioning ourself with a handful of senior-to-be QBs that seem both solid, and realistic targets. Last year we were in on Blackburn, but who knows what happened there, and Kelly. When Kelly didn't pan out, it was goodnight on our QB recruiting. Collins, Francis, and Caleb seems like good fits, despite being vastly different looking QBs... something I like to see.

He really could be on a wish list. If you're a fan of Wagner or Cornell.
I agree, but I am not sure he has the grades for Cornell. He was mediocre at best for a very poor high school team in Class D. Not knocking Class D since many very good players play at small schools, but a Division I talent should be excelling in Class D. Also got tossed from a game this year for fighting. All his "hype" is from 7v7 and camps. Not sure how you can base anything on these non-game situations.

I have had several QBs look like all Americans in 7v7 tournaments. Needless to say none were much better than good high school QBs.

To me his older brother was a better prospect could throw and run. He just wasn't quite as tall.

Thanks Hoov. Since we tread a lot of the same ground your verification is doubly valid to me. He didn't light up any particular team, he isn't much of a factor in any game, and I think he's being done a dis-service by the hype. For all I know he's a great kid, but that doesn't make him a great QB.

Caleb is the exact opposite of the kind of QB that Coach has been after in his tenure.
