Joaquin Kavouklis, 2027 quarterback, transfers to Tarpon Springs​

TARPON SPRINGS, FLORIDA- One of the top quarterbacks of the 2027 class is making the move back to his hometown.
After spending one season at Clearwater Academy International, quarterback Joaquin Kavouklis announced via X, formerly known as Twitter, that he will be transferring to Tarpon Springs High School from Clearwater Academy International.
Kavouklis leaves the Knights as they announced after the 2023 season that they will no longer be fielding a football program due to the demands financially of having to play a more national schedule on the road.

Clearwater Academy International (Florida) shutting down football program​

That thus opened the door for Kavouklis to make his return to the Spongers for the program’s 100th season of play. The signal caller already has a Power 5 offer from Arkansas.
As a freshman, the quarterback finished throwing for 1,608 yards and 13 touchdowns for the Knights. Kavouklis shining moment from the 2023 season was leading the Knights to a memorable victory on the road against Sarasota Riverview on the final play of the game.
