If you watch Lamson's film -- he's got really nice touch as well, moves well within the pocket, makes throws downfield on the run and can run with the football. Hard to say he's as good as Book, but he has the look of a kid who can compete right away, IMO. Maybe not start as a freshman necessarily, but compete for the backup role and certainly has the potential to compete for the starting role in year 2.

Not sure he'll be as tough as Dungey or as polished as Book. Doesn't have Tommy's arm strength -- at least not in that film. But I wouldn't be shocked if he's close to as good as book and better than Tommy when all is said and done. I hope Tommy proves me wrong and has an outstanding breakout season this year. There's a chance that happens, but I do really, really like Lamson as a potential successor.
