Class of 2015 QB Lamar Jackson (FL) Offered

Have to think he's offered as an athlete. Barely a pass thrown in that Hudl highlight video.

Might be because this is his first season at Boynton. He was ineligible to play his sophomore year because of grades at his previous high school. Probably have to wait until the end of the season for a more complete set of highlights.

According to his coach in that story..."He's working on his passing game," Swain said of Jackson. . "He can throw the ball 60 yards, but it takes a little time to get used to our system. He has the ability, but right now we're using his legs. He's a pretty shifty guy."

i'm am kind of confused of the offensive approach we are taking? if this kid is offered as a qb, and not an ath, i really wonder what we are doing? It seems McDonald wants to air it out as much as possible going forward, and with some of the wr talent we have coming in you would think a pocket passer would be better? it's not like we are running many zone reads with Hunt, or really any called running plays. We see what a struggle it is to move the ball in the air as it is now, but we keep bringing in dual threats. if we want dual threats don't you think we would actually threaten to call qb running plays? i'd rather get a proven passer who can get our weapons the ball

#Syracuse has offered a big time junior Palm Beach quarterback.

Boynton Beach returns into the poll thanks to their playoff clinching win over Hallandale. Lamar Jackson continues to be one of the most dynamic players in the area, with two touchdowns on the ground and through the air.

Hunt isnt dual threat. he is no threat. More qb's we bring in, the better.

The connections this staff has that helps point them out to talented HS players is impressive. Watching the relationships grow with the players and coaches east of the Mississippi has been just a pleasure to watch.

Is this the only uncommitted true QB offer we have out for the '15 class? Who we are recruiting to play QB?

Well with 5 scholarship QBs on the roster - 2 RS Fr, 2 true Fr, 1 Jr plus Troy Green it's not exactly a pressing need. I think we'll take one if there's a good fit - just like every year - and if not move on to 2016.

I would agree with this. If we get the right kid, it's always worth a Scholly at teh QB spot. But this year, there is no need to take one. That said I really hope we find a "right" fit guy every year, if there is one spot you can never have too much talent at, its the QB spot.
