As I was thumbing through the December issue of SI, I came across the latest FACES IN THE CROWD. Peyton Houston was the second item for football from Shreveport La. A sophomore, he lit up the HS history books as the following article attests. 53 – 68 - 817YDS - 8 TDS Passing and 2 Running and became the third high school player ever to throw for 800 – plus yards in a game. A four star recruit, he gained more than 400 combined passing and rushing yards in five of his first six games.
I thought Fran might be interested in the 2007 Peyton, based upon this article. I think SU private jets fly to Louisiana. Big arm, accurate, great stance and throwing motion, he is going to be the real deal for a P4 school somewhere - why not CNY? Fast too.

Evangel Christian Academy (Shreveport, La.) QB Peyton Houston had a game for the ages on Thursday night, throwing for 817 yards with eight touchdown passes while adding two touchdowns and another 87 yards on the ground with two scores.
It places the 6-foot 195 lb talent in the high school football history book with the second-most passing yards in a single game, trailing former Davidson Day (Davidson, N.C.) standout Will Grier, who threw for 837 yards in a 2012 playoff game that ended 104-80 over Harrells Christian.
Houston won't have the same victorious footnote, though.
Video-game-like numbers were aplenty, and the 53-of-68 night from the class of 2027 highlight reel ended in a 77-76 OT loss to Captain Shreve (Shreveport, La.).
Sports can be funny/cruel/the best/worst in that way.
But the night still belonged to the talented sophomore slinger.
He showed off his running ability:
He showed off his breakaway skills and downfield vision:
At times, he was practically a cheat code:
Overall, Houston has averaged over 400 yards passing a game this season and has generated a decent amount of recruiting buzz, getting looks from Arkansas, Colorado, Miami (Fla.), LSU, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Texas.
