have a higher rating than McCord, when his numbers are worse?
on the ESPN box scoreDon’t know where you see that but on my app McCord has 188.4 QBR and Ward has a 169.2 QBR
We had #1 QB in yds and they had #2; #1 had more yds in this game, more yds per attempt, and more TDs - and #1 won. I’m glad we had #1.Dunno but he played well. Put his team up 21-0 fed restrepo for 150 yard no picks. Still lost suck it chuml.
25/36 I think we had to really work for those 11 incompletions most were in big spots with great coverage and good throws. He didn't miss much.
That said... he probably should have run more.
McCord is the better QB it was 1 vs 2 and we had 1.
Should have a great career as a backup QB on an NFL roster. Hopefully he gets picked between rounds 4 to 6.I know McCord won’t be a top 10 pick and I know he doesn’t have the wheels you need in the nfl, but I wouldn’t doubt him. I’ll take him on my team any time.
Must be an error. In 2 places I was following stats, McCord had a higher rating.on the ESPN box score
Does the qbr they post include rushing? That may be different than passer rating and could account for the small difference between them.on the ESPN box score
If he falls to the 4 to 6 rounds every gm in the nfl should be fired. Now every things is about duel threat qbs. Great qbs in the nfl need to quickly read D, get the ball out quick and buy time when the pocket breaks down. All things McCord can do.Should have a great career as a backup QB on an NFL roster. I think Kyle is a sold second round pick. No worse than the third round. If he falls to the 4 to 6 rounds every gm in the nfl should be fired. Now every things is about duel threat qbs. Right about NFL back up lock, and comparisons to slow QBs. Only needs better decision making. IMO , I don’t think he is inaccurate often at all. What I think he does is try to thread needles only a Brett Favre type can do. The ball is usually right on the receiver, but a db jumps the route. That is where most of his picks and almost picks come. So decision-making would be in my opinion the bigger concern than accuracy. definately taller than 6’1”.Doesn’t need wheels. I don’t think Matthew Stanford or Jared Goff are beating anyone in a race any time soon.
Probably doesn’t have the elite arm talent that scouts look for in early rounds, and he can get sloppy with his placement and accuracy at times.
He’s also a heck of a lot closer to 6 foot than 6’2”.
I think he could be a hell of a backup for a team, and potentially has Kirk Cousins type upside IF he develops better accuracy over the years.
Regardless, he was awesome to watch here at Syracuse.
