I think he should be in the mix as a QB recruit. Decisive, makes all the throws, arm looks plenty strong, puts air under the ball when needed.

Effective runner, more McNabb than Vick.

What's not to like?
 
How could you not like a kid that can throw the ball 40+ yards and then be his own receiver?

Has to be recruited as athlete. Incredible athlete. Great size. Great running mechanics. Ease of leg transition when running. Smooth running gate.
Terrible throwing mechanics and footwork. Drops shoulder to compensate for weak arm. Shot puts ball. Nothing more useless than HS QB highlights of long passes to open receivers edited so we only see his completions.

Based only on this one tape, I thought the same thing about his throwing mechanics. Not good at all. Again, one tape.

I do think it would be relatively easy to judge this at camps, or 7 on 7s, or live scouting. I would like to see tape of him throwing 10 yard out routes from opposite hash.

A second tape won't improve his throwing mechanics. Tapes are edited to show his best not his worst. It'll show the same thing or even worse. I did see a few good throws when he kept his shoulder higher, just not enough to justify him staying at QB for hopeful top ACC school. As an athlete (Safety, WR,) really liked his speed, balance, strength.

Easy there, tiger. I was agreeing with you about the poor mechanics and trying to give the kid the benefit of the doubt with regards to the type of throws that were "highlighted."

My post wasn't confrontational for an 'easy tiger'. Just stated that there is no hidden second tape with the really good stuff.

I meant to take it easy on the kid...

He already has offers from OSU, FSU, Bama, Fla, Clemson.

Thought you were telling me to 'easy tiger' toward you. My mistake. That second tape had nothing better than the first, same evaluation, same throwing motion. You don't mention if those offers are for QB or not.
Would definately think those programs would offer that type of player.

Unless AJ and Alin both crap out I don't err a consorted effort being made just yet.AQB WR is of corse interesting as was Kevin Johnson up against McNabb. I really believe that Edouard will be the QB of the future for the team Its not to say that AJ has no chance but I think a QB being recruited by Miami means a whole lot on behalf of the kid's ability.

Normally I would disagree as I believe it's good practice to take at least 1 QB in every class. This year may be a little different since we've taken 4 Qb's in 2 classes and TH has 2 years left - you'd think if there was ever a year where we could skip a QB in a class it would be this one.

Edit: As it turns out he is being touted as a "top 5" WR in the nation by some folks. With Clemson's QB situation of late, I wouldn't rule out them giving him a shot at QB.

Commited to Clemson because he is a great talent and is being touted as a top 5 WR and not QB. Just like Sudano said.
