What makes you think he's a project at this point? He now has 2 complete seasons being a starter. He has good numbers. His completion percentage was a little low his junior season but it has improved to 64% this season. And he has just 1 interception.  If you watch his highlights (Only junior year film available, not senior year yet) you can see he has a very good arm and i think he actually is a pretty accurate thrower.  Its only highlights, but the passes were all in a good spot and there were almost no short passes in that film, all down field tougher throws. He seems to see the field pretty good and can hang in the pocket and make the throw. I like having a taler kid to see over our enormous linemen to help with seeing the routes developing and coverage.  He has really good athletic ability to boot for a kid who is 6'4" 220 lbs. 62 rushing yds a game is pretty solid.
