if they bring in Dungey and Edouard, do they encourage Kimble and Wilson to seek their fortunes elsewhere? (One can't throw and the other can't run - both would make fine D2 - D3 QBs.) They go with Hunt next year and Long as his back-up while redshirting Edouard and Dungey.

I think this is likely. Hunt is your starter unless Edouard or Dungey look like the second coming of McNabb. Long is a fine backup in his second year. Has experience, can throw it.

Hunt beat Minny in a bowl and was the MVP

Not one of current QBs could do that.

You'd find Long in s body bag after playing Minny.

But I'm willing to see how the Hunt/Long competition pans out.

Just so you know, the coaches always felt there was size-able gap between Hunt and the rest, and it's the reason they're in search of other answers.

Hunt was the starter for a reason. He gave us the best chance of winning. AJ, Alin, and Eric might be the future, but I have no problem with Hunt finishing his career here. Will he win us a championship, probably not, but he gives us the best chance to win every week right now.

Not a ton of hope in starting Hunt - but there's a chance that Lester's offense (once installed) can help him be a better player too.
