This was out of the timeout so Queeley had to know the play right?  Or is this a read depending on the defense?  We definitely wanted the isolation though because we motioned Cooper to the other side shifting their D alignment to the left.  So I don't get it.  If Queeley ran the right play and we're only throwing a 3 yard pass to the sideline on 3rd and 8 then it's a bad play call.  If we're throwing to the end zone he starts too close to the sideline to run a post corner fade.  So who can say what the play is supposed to be.  From what I see on camera a slant there would've been perfect.  (and by the way, 4 man rush with a LB blitzing straight up the middle and Tucker failed to make the block.)

On the flip side.  The Wake OT touchdown is a beautifully designed play.  Duce is 1v1 with press coverage about 2.5 yards off the LOS.  Wake WR runs a perfectly timed rub route freeing him just enough to get open to the back of the endzone.  I'm jelly of these well designed plays I see from other teams while our passing game is mired in mud.

Maybe we should look into a passing game coordinator to help with our design.
