Question about Wayne Morgan

Did I read somewhere on the board that he is planning to announce at one of the high school all star games [I've also seen it indicated that he plans to wait until signing day--not sure which one is true]?

If so, which one?

The reason I'm asking is that the underarmour all star game is on now. Not sure if Morgan is playing or not, or if I should bother watching or not instead of college hoops [which I'd prefer].

He adds depth, and could also move to WR.

Reddish will never play WR here. He's a much better CB prospect. Morgan will be a CB. You can always use defensive backs. And we have a better chance of flipping Jarron Jones than we do of getting Standifer.

The nice thing about him and Whigham is that they seem to have the versatility to play multiple positions back there. Despite it being such a problem position this year, I think it could be shaping up as a major plus area for us moving forward.

so basically Syracuse should stop recruiting players for the secondary because there are some unproven young guys with potential on the roster? why sign Ryan Nassib? with Andrew Robinson, Cody Catalina and David Legree already in the program the kid will never see the field, right?

And let's not forget QB is one position vs 4 secondary spots. Of which a guy like Whigham has a chance to play 3 and Morgan could play all 4.

And finally, more teams play the style of offense that involves 3 and 4 WRs no matter the down or distance. So it isn't the old school thinking of where you plan your DB recruiting around expecting to play 2 WR sets most of the time and then throw in a nickel back on passing downs.

I didn't mean it like that. It was more of a projection where do you guys see him playing and when do you see him playing. We need all the talent we can get and we are in no position to turn any type of top talent away.

I think he plays corner - but then again, I never imagined a smurf like Wilkes would be playing safety.
