What is the difference between a block and a charge? Why do officials seem to always give the benefit of doubt to the defensive player?

College officiating is just atrocious.

The refs don’t try and to determine if contact is real or embellished.
There are teams coaching players to act and refs don’t do anything to stop it.
Stop falling for acting.
