Question for Journalists or professional writers,or anyone else

I find it incredibly annoying when I read a story and the tweet that is a part of the article is embedded in the copy, but then quoted immediately following. It's reading the same thing twice.
Is there a technical reason for this, or is it just a lazy way to add length to the article.
