Permanent lineup change without being forced to do so. How often has that happened in past 10 years? 20 years?

Last year benched Jalen Carey and replaced him with Joe Girard. This change was made due to production at the PG position. Didn’t bother to think past last year so lazy on my part,

Andy Rautins replaced Devo in the starting lineup in 2009.
Ongenaut started 12 games for Rick Jackson the same season.

JB has done it when he wants too.

2014-2015 he took Roberson out of the starting lineup.

Way back he inserted Michael Edwards in at PG,
Moving David Johnson to the bench.

I was actually just looking at the box score for the ND game from 2009 earlier and noticed that Devo came off the bench. For some reason I thought Devo always started that year.

Devendorf started 28 games and Rautins started 10 in 2009, but they both played starter minutes. Rautins played a lot of forward that season. Rick and Arinze basically split time.

The 2010-2016 teams had very few lineup changes unless it was for injury or suspension. In 2016 we started the same guys for 37 games.

Carey only played 2 games before breaking his thumb.

Surgery was needed but the timing was elective after he got benched. The article quoted JB: "He’s had an injury for quite some time,'' Boeheim said. "(He was) perfectly able to play on it, but it was one of those things that needs to be fixed. I think it’s the right thing to do. I don’t know how much it hampered his play; if it did at all, but it just needed to be fixed at this time.''

Jalen had the injury going into the season. His play was inconsistent and he was benched. He then elected to have surgery, take a medical redshirt and transfer.

1-8 shooting
1-4 FT's
1 asst / 3 TO's

Maybe he wasn't able to play with it after all?

I still wonder to this day what happens if Ennis and Grant return for 2014 and Kaleb becomes the full time starter in 2015
After we took the postseason ban those guys would have been totally screwed if they comeback.

I am glad they didn’t for that reason.
If we didn’t take the ban in 2015 we couldn’t have made the tournament in 2016 and we know what did that year.

Ennis was right to leave when he did.
Grant was right to leave when he did.
Malachi was right to leave when he did.
McCollough was right to leave when he did.
Lydon was right to leave when he did.
All these guys got guaranteed money versus nothing to play for us.

perhaps his leadership at fort ticonderoga 1775 better known in some circles as the battle of mount tyus .

Yeah given how everything has transpired their decisions look even better since then. I wish we had another great ACC season or two under our belt.
