Does the Field Pass get you into the game or do you also need a game ticket? Wanted to know before I give away my tickets...Thanks

You still need a ticket to get in - a field pass is just to get you on field after you get in.

Had field passes last week, you need to enter around section 122 and not section 108 which is near the student section & where the players come out... Just saving you the hassle. Have fun.

We messed up: I think Cuseregular and I just walked in through band entrance below Gate B while displaying our Field Passes..so add 2 more people to the Rutgers 2011 attendance.

Just curious what it was like watching from the field for those of us who haven't experienced it?

Honestly, it's better for pre-game IMO being able to see the players warm up/interact and watch Eric White and Floyd Little schmoozing with all of the recruits. It is baffling though seeing the size of these kids. Even a kid like PTG, who's teeny on the field, has big ass shoulders and legs when standing next to him. Hard to see that when watching from the stands or on TV. As for the game-watching, you're mainly standing in the end-zone so it's extremely difficult with depth perception. Also, you don't see plays develop.

If anyone gets a chance to do it, do it; however, when it comes to being the crazy fanatic I am, I'll stick with 301 and the rest of the crazy brethren up there. I'm at the 50-yard line behind the SU bench with the coaches' box right behind me, you can see all sideline interactions, see every play develop and you can tell who's on the field at all times. 301 best seats in the house IMO.

I think I'll shoot some photos and videos and post them on here after the game to give a perspective on what it looks like.

Disagree nothing better than hearing ear cracking hits and being near the end zone when either a pass or run play is coming your way and you have to back up or get run over by those big boys - it was much more fun being near the locker rooms and team but Marrone changed it to be over to the opposite corner. Still nothing better than standing near the end zone when either team is in the red zone just because you cannot see the play develop and you don't know what's coming next.

Those kids are huge and move fast.

Also, a lot of those assistant coaches/hangers-on are every bit the lunatics some here make them out to be.

Sight lines suck. Cool experience but its not great for viewing.

Ive been on the field before, stood in the corner of the the end zone. It was ok, a cool experience, but I probably wouldn't do it again.

I got to do it 2 years ago for the South Florida game. We got blown out. It was a fun thing to do. But pretty much everyone said it. Not really good for viewing the game. But when the players are right in front of you it is pretty cool. Be ready to move when they are playing in front of you. You are literally right on the line if the player crosses out of bounds. And being a not large female was a little nervous at times. There is an area that you can be anywhere in. It was from about the 30 yard line around the end zone and up to the same 30 yard line on the other side. (Not sure it was the 30 yard line or the 25 but somewhere in that vicinity). I ended up moving to the Syracuse team side, and found it interesting standing right at the closest boundary to the team and at times watching the coaches, players, etc, especially during the time outs. You hear the conversations, etc.

one last quick question..do they ask to see your tickets too or just your field pass? got these passes from someone, and I was reading on the back of the pass how the pass has to match your preferred donor tickets.
