That last drive was filled with so much confusion by refs, boneheaded broadcasters and my own head. The play where Sales caught the 3rd down pass and was shoved quickly out-of-bounds...did they review that because they kept showing it over and over but I heard nothing from- I repeat...boneheaded broadcasters- and no confirmation from Referees although it seemed like there was a long delay in-between plays. I'm not even sure he was in bounds as the camera angle sucked

Speaking of which, did they do away with the rule that it is a completion if a receiver catches the ball in the air and gets pushed out of bounds before he comes down? Or am I confusing it with the NFL rule?

College never had that rule as far as I know, only the NFL did and they got rid of that at least 2 years ago

Thanks for the clarification. The differences between the pros and NCAA gets confusing sometimes.

That's why they need the same rules. The pass interference penalty between college (15 yards) and NFL (spot foul) is crazy. I know if I'm in the college and get beat on D on a bomb, I'm grabbing the heck out of the receiver.

And let's not even talk about the rules for overtime.

On an earlier play, as I recall, Sales caught a ball with feet on the ground and was hit and knocked out of bounds a yard further back. They placed the ball where he went out of bounds, not where he caught it and was hit. Anyone else catch that?

It was reviewed. Although the announcers (and producers) missed it, it could be heard in the background over the PA system.

Blame it on Quinta Funderburk as he apparently made another appearance in yesterday's game.
